How to make Idli and Dosa batter at home naturally
This is a very healthy and naturally fermented Indian breakfast or snacks preparation which every Indians love to have in their kitchen.

Ingredients :
- Udad Dal (without Skin) - 1 and 1/2 cup
- Fenugreek Seed ( Methi) - 1 teaspoon
- Rawa rice - 3 cups
Method :
- Wash the Udad Dal and Methi seeds together for 2 to 3 times and soak for 6 to 8 hours.
- Grind the dal mix until the paste is smooth.
- Mix the mixture in a spoon (better by hand) for five to ten minutes
- Add the Rawa rice with the above batter and mix properly and keep aside for 10 to 12 hours for fomentation.
Tips :
- Add cold water while making the dal paste. This will help to make a good fomentation for idli Or Dosa batter.
- If it is winter or weather is cold then the fomentation would be delayed up to 24 hours or more.
